Award winning thesis for Yannick Schindler on the simulation of the healing of tibial fractures

“Influence of loading on the healing behavior of surgically treated tibial fractures”

The topic of Yannick’s thesis  shows his dedication to biomechanics and is the climax of his Bachelor of Engineering degree. The award was presented at the academic anniversary celebration and award ceremony at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences.

Yannick developed a novel loading model for gait analysis and used it together with the OSORA bone healing simulation. He was able to show the importance of individualized load bearing recommendations on the bone healing process and ultimately in the treatment outcome.

We congratulate Yannick on this outstanding achievement! It is an absolute pleasure to work with you.
