Digital twin powered clinical bone fracture management

Simulation-driven preventive analytics in fracture care - for improved treatment outcomes

Our motivation

5-10 % of patients suffer from complications in the course of fracture healing. Delayed union or non-union of the bone segments can lead to prolonged immobilization, protracted treatment and the risk of permanent disability.

In complex and high-risk environments, simulations can support clinicians with the identification of treatment paths and early detection of complications. Digital twins enable clinicians to test treatment approaches before they are applied on patients.

Applications

OSORA offers a wide range of possible applications

Medical Education

education

The relationship between biomechanics and bone healing is crucial for the understanding of fracture treatment. Take advantage of our fracture playground and immerse yourself in treatment possibilities in risk-free testing off the patient.

Fracture Management

We augment doctors’ decision making with patient-specific planning for early mobilization & complication prevention. We enhance surgical planning with the fourth dimension: prediction of the healing process & success over time.

Implant Development

Streamline & accelerate the development of products from idea to launch through virtual physiological testing. Stress-testing in various loading scenarios allows for cost-effective quality optimization.

Based on over 20 years of scientific research we build on the extensive groundwork done at Ulm University and a worldwide community. Our team covers state-of-the-art know-how in fracture healing simulations, with a proven track-record in scientific publications.
